Based in Milford on Sea, Lymington, Hampshire, The Lanky Runner can regularly be seen doing his Tuesday/Thursday short runs along the cliff tops, sea front, or back roads around the quiet little New Forest town.

On Saturdays and Sundays he'll often venture a bit further - with connections in Portsmouth, Southampton, and Bournemouth, these areas are often subject to his adventurous excursions.

Typical Lanky Runner routes are coastal pathways, large urban parks and commons, greenbelt, forests, and quiet suburban streets. He tends to avoid busy, built-up areas for two reasons: interruption of momentum by crowds and crossroads, and less chance of being run over! Besides, the paths chosen by The Lanky Runner tend to be more picturesque and relaxing than most busy, urban routes.

Every year, Portsmouth hosts the Great South Run, and in October 2016 it will be his fourth appearance, where he aims to once again beat his previous best time (1:23:23). There are even rumours he's entered into the New Forest Half Marathon in September 2016...
